*** New Updates 06/24/10 ***
This week I have been working on Colorado lowers, 88-98 uppers and some trans crossmembers for the 2001-2006 GM fullsize. Ive decided to start blogging as many days a week as I can to keep everyone updated. I have too many current orders to send personal emails to everyone for regular updates. So you can email me as much as you like for updates or read the blog page to see what Im working on that day or week. Check out the blog page by clicking the link below. Heres a pic of the all new GM355 (Colorado/Canyon) lower control arms. These are shipping this week to customers. I also have about the same number of uppers orders. I have all the pieces made for the uppers as well and Ive started assembly of these.
These will clear the steering rods better than the previous version. The bag plate can also be used by drilling the hole where it works best for you or adding a raised angled plate to clear the balljoint. Im including some button head bolts for the balljoints to allow better bag clearance. Let me know what you think.

Heres a couple pics of the all new DHP 2001-2006 GM fullsize transmission crossmember. This is for the 2wd trucks and meant for the lowered and bagged guys. This crossmember mounts in the factory mounting holes with the stock bolts or you can get the HD bolt kit option I offer with the crossmember.

This part is made with 2"x3"x.1/8" wall rectangle tube. The plates where the trans sit, the bottom access hole plate and end cap plates are 3/6" plate. The holes are slotted like the factory part. You can see in this next pic that the access hole in the bottom is large so you can get to the nut from the bottom easily. Some aftermarket mounts like this do not have this access and are difficult to get to the nuts. This part has less than 1" from the bolt hole centerline to the bottom of the mount. I will also offer some triangle braces with this setup to brace the factory mounts after cutting off the parts that hang below the frame. Look for pics of the mounts asap.
Heres a couple pics of the all new DHP 2001-2006 GM fullsize transmission crossmember. This is for the 4wd trucks and designed for the guys doing the 4L60E to 4L80E transmission swap. This crossmember mounts in the factory mounting holes with the stock bolts or you can get the HD bolt kit option I offer with the crossmember. This crossmember is also designed with enough clearance for the larger trans pan. Theres also clearance for the front driveline. I can also add C notches for exhaust if needed.

Ok I just finished a prototype for an all new GM 355 gas tank/driveline crossmember. This item will change a little after testing. Heres a few pics to start.
Heres another sneak peek at an all new prototype. This is the 02-05 Dodge Ram 1500 lower control arm. I will be changing the bag plate and balljoint plate to better work with each other. Let me know what you think.

Ok peeps, heres a set I just finished this week. Its a set of 63-87 GM fullsize uppers. The lowers are almost done as well. The lowers only changed a little on width to fit the porterbuilt dropmember. I did also change the bushings to a sleeve style and also instead of two bolts on each arm I switched to a long shaft going thru the whole arm and crossbar.
The balljoints in these are for 1/2 ton trucks running the 73-87 spindles. I also need to tell you guys that the uppers and lowers for these trucks also fit the Porterbuilt dropmember. I just built a set for BYD rod and custom installing them on a Porterbuilt dropmember on a suburban. This truck is slated to be at Showfest next month. Heres a few pics of the DHP arms installed on the Porterbuilt dropmember. The bag plates were left off so BYD could install them like they wanted.

Ok peeps heres the latest new item from DHP. Its the all new 86-97 Nissan Hardbody engine crossmember.
This item is made from 1/4" AR500 armor plate. AR stands for abrasion resistant. Its the same stuff we use to armor SWAT, police and private vehicles. This stuff is as strong as 1/2" mild steel.
The tubes are 1"DOM with 1/2"(13mm) holes. The bottom plate is also 1/4" AR plate so you can drag it and it will throw some killer sparks and last much longer than mild steel.
As you can see from this pic there are two different angles on the lower plate. As I see it now I think the higher angle is the better one and this angle should face forward. The welds on the plates are small to allow for changing the plates when they drag thru.
This is the prototype and the next one I make will have a removeable lower plate that can be swapped out when dragged thru by simply unbolting the lower plate. I will sell this prototype and then judge the viability of making the bolt on lower plate.
As most of you know this crossmember is very similar on 79-95 Toyota trucks and 86-93 Mazda trucks. I have stock versions of both of those and will soon be making versions for those trucks.

Ok I just shipped this set of arms. I decided to assemble them to get a quick pic of them together. Let me know what you think.

I have some updates Id like to share. First is the all new chassis mounted pivot watts link kit available in both regular and heavy duty versions. The regular comes with 1/2" hardware and the heavy duty comes with 5/8" hardware. All hardware is grade 8 and uses all steel locknuts. I have partially assembled this one for the pics below. Check it out and let me know what you think.
The two plates on opposite ends with tubes on them are welded to the axle tube and then the heim bolts to them. There are also braces not pictured. This kit will be available starting today.
The next thing is the new crossmembers Im coming out with. Ive decided that crossmembers are an item that many bagged truck guys are looking for. Even trucks with crossmembers that are above the frame can use a nicer looking tube version that allows for more exhaust clearance. So recently I started selling the all new Colorado/Canyon transmission crossmember. This will be followed up by a driveline/gas tank crossmember for those trucks. Look for pics of that item very soon.
The next news about crossmembers is the ones Im working on now. I made a recent trip to do some research and came back with these...

What you see here are the following: a 99-00 GM fullsize transmission crossmember, 01-06 GM fullsize transmission crossmember, a 79-95 Toyota engine crossmember, a 86-97 Nissan Hardbody engine crossmember and a 86-93 Mazda B series engine crossmember. I will be coming out with all new versions of these made specifically for bagged trucks that drag frame. I may also make these with replaceable drag plates. Look for an update here soon.....

OK peeps, heres some advanced pics of the all new chassis mounted pivot watts link. This is something Ive been working on in my very little spare time. This is not all the pieces and I will have the rest of the pieces together tomorrow. This mounts between the frame rails and is adjustable up and down 4" plus the end plates are easily adaptable along any frame. It also comes with 2 large plates to box in the frame. Let me know what you think so far.

Heres the all new 82-04 GM S series upper control arm set. This is a new plate design that fits well on the tubes. Let me know what you think.

Heres another new item from DHP. This is the all new 95-00 Toyota Tacoma lower control arm set. This is an item I used to make back in the BYC days. When I got a new order for these I decided to make an all new jig and completely redo the whole thing. These fit the stock Tacoma balljoints and will lay large wheels. Let me know what you think.

Ok heres the all new version of the Mitsubishi lower control arm set. This is an all new design with a different shape than the older version. I decided to redesign these to allow for more turning radius and also give more room to add a shock mount if desired.

The curved tube along the bag side is closer in to allow for more clearance with the steering. The curved tube along the other side is to allow for the shock mounts and more turning radius.
This basic shape will also carry over to the other styles of minitruck arms that have a center mounted bushing thats in the control arm such as the Isuzu Pup and Toyota Tacoma. These other arms pics will be coming soon. Im finishing up the Tacoma and Isuzu arms now. Check back for pics soon.

I finished some Nissan arms today. I finished a hardbody lower set and shipped them along with a Nissan 620 set of lowers as well. I also finished a set of Mitsubishi lowers. I have totally redesigned the Mitsu lowers as well as the Isuzu lowers and the Tacoma lowers. The Mitsubishi, Isuzu and Tacoma are all internal bushing arms which means they have a bushing in the arm itself. This means I can design them all similar and thats what Ive done. Tomorrow I will have pics of the Mitsu and Tacoma lowers. In the mean time check out these all new Nissan 620/720/Hardbody lowers. These three trucks have the same diameter balljoint shaft so they all use the same screw in balljoint and they also all have a similar bushing in the frame so they all have the same lower crossbar and the lengths are all similar. Thats why they all look like this:

This is the all new Hardbody/D21 upper set. These are also similar to the 620/720 uppers. The differences are length and balljoint placement front to back. The hardbody is centered while the 620/720 are offset. Look for more pics very soon.

Well Im back into building parts at a good pace. Im working on some GM fullsize arms, some Mitsubishi arms, Isuzu arms and some Tacoma arms. I am also building watts link crossbars to put up on the shelf to keep in stock.
I will be doing the import stuff during the week next week. I will assemble and weld the parts together while Im also turning bushings and sleeves for the GM fullsize stuff.
I have some 02-06 Dodge arms coming up after the GM arms. Look for pics of those as soon as I have something.

Today I got a chance to put together a Colorado/Canyon transmission crossmember. I had the pieces cut a while back but just now got time to assemble one. I used the kind of generic end tabs I designed for this and now that I know how they fit together I will redesign the shape just a little to cover the tube more. Heres a pic of the first prototype.
Theres a little history behind this crossmember. I got a call from John at Clean Cut Creations back in 2005 about these. He had some made and was selling them. He wanted to send me one, have me copy it, make a jig and start building that version for him. Im not sure if his supplier didnt have time or what. So I did that and sold several of the original version back in the day. I did however want to make a version that had end plates that either bolted in or welded in and then the actual center piece would bolt to that. John was not on board with that idea so I shelved it for a while. Now that I have found the time to start making these again I decided to start making the version I wanted to make back then. I used the original jig from 2005 and updated it with the pieces to make the bolt on ends.
You can weld these onto the frame or use the holes and drill through your frame and bolt them on. Then the center piece bolts on under the ends. This seems like the best approach to me. I will keep one of these in stock at all times like I do with the Ranger and C-10 trans crossmembers. Let me know if you would like one. Please visit the crossmembers page for more info and pricing.
I just recently finished the first set of adjustable lowers for the 99-06 GM fullsize. This particular set was made 1" shorter than stock with the adjustable poly ends screwed all the way in. Most customers these days are ordering arms shorter than stock to allow for more turning and wheel clearance. These are going to be available from now on. In fact I can make any lower arm adjustable the same way. The pricing will be on the individual pages very soon. Heres a pic of this version. Look for more pics soon.
I just completed this set of 99-06 GM fullsize uppers that are also adjustable. I have had these done for a while but I screwed up one of the balljoints and had to redo one. I reworked my jigs completely for these arms to make them adjustable and make the regular ones on the same jig. I was also changing from a bolt on balljoint to these that use the press in style ones like the factory arms. These are also available with adjustable poly bushing ends. Im working on an adjustable lower set for the 99-06 GM fullsize. Let me know what you think.
I just finished a total rework of my chevy luv lower arm jig. I made it where I can make a bag arm or coilover arm on the same jig. Remember these are offered with stock style balljoints on the lower arm as well as S-10 and Mustang II lower balljoints. Uppers are offered with S-10, Mustang II, which is basically a K772 screw in balljoint. I have made these for Toyota balljoints but the geometry is a little off for them. Take a look at this pic of the new coilover version. The ones in this pic are 1" shorter than stock.

Ok new pics of the finished Colorado upper adjustable set. Check these out and let me know what you think. There is an extra set of these for anyone that wants some. Email me if you want some of these. I can also make them with heim joints if you like.

Ok I got the bag plates on the Colorado lower arms. I drew these up the other day and had them cut today. Let me know what you think. I now have the Colorado jigs finalized and can produce the production version at any time. While I have the jig out I will go ahead and start making the new adjustable upper version and the version that uses the K6292 balljoint. Pics of those as soon as I have something. For now check out these pics of the bare lowers with the bag plates on. These belong to the guy that many of you should be thanking. He is the one that got the ball rolling by ordering the set. enjoy!

Heres a pic of the all new 03-2010 Colorado upper set.
I am now making some more Colorado uppers that are adjustable and also sets with the K6292 GM fullsize balljoint. Thanks to the guys on 355nation.net for the balljoint number. These are now available and I will keep the Colorado (355) jigs out to make these for a while. Anyone needing 355 parts hit me up asap so I know what the demand is going to be like.
This is the all new 99-06 GM fullsize upper arms.
These have been redesigned to use the OEM style press in balljoint #K6540. I was using the #K6136 which has the standard GM fullsize balljoint pattern. I think the press in cups look nicer. It took a total redesign of the jigs and the arms to get the tubes where I wanted to work with the cups but it was worth it. I also had to consider the demand for adjustable uppers for this model arm. Ive sold as many adjustable uppers for the 99-06 as the non adjustable. This took some angle changes to the tubes and so it was actually easier to just redesign the whole jig.
