Ok here are the most frequently asked questions about DHP parts. Please let me know if you have questions not answered here.
1. Will these parts lay frame?
All parts will lay frame,
that's what we make, and that's the majority of what we make, parts to lay
frame on bags or juice. For example the S-10 parts will lay
frame on up to 22s with drop spindles or 20s on stock spindles.
2. What kind of balljoints do you use?
Factory replacements
that are the same as the stock ones whenever possible. For
example the S-10 parts use a long travel upper balljoint that
fits the stock arms and is the same one you can buy at almost
any aftermarket parts store. It just has longer travel for
correct balljoint angle and no binding.
3. Do the bushings have to be pressed in?
Yes, but they can be
pressed in by hand or with a rubber mallet or plastic hammer.
Some fit tighter than others but all fit very snug. For
example the upper S-10 bushings need to be knocked in with a
rubber mallet, while the lowers will have much more stress on
them and fit tighter, and need a little more arm strength to
get them in.
4. How do I order DHP products?
You can order parts through an email right now. Paypal ordering will soon be available.
5. How do I know what shipping costs?
Shipping is based on weight. I will add shipping weights as parts are redesigned and added to the products lists.
6. Are these parts mig or tig welded?
Mig welded Right now. However I will set up TIG welding as the preferred method in the near future. Mig welds will be grinded or sanded to give an overall strong look. The welds on thick tubing should be equally thick to provide the extra strength needed for a bagged ride.
7.Can I order parts for something you don’t
offer?
Yes, we can custom make just about anything. Email me
personally at Mike@Dallashotrodparts.com to find out about custom order
stuff.
8. Are shipping costs to anywhere?
No, The items that have shipping costs on the page or in the buy now button are for continental US only.
