1998-2010 Ranger drop spindles

98-10 Ford Ranger drop spindle set $550

These spindles are stock spindles modified by me into a 2" drop spindle. The above price is plus exchange. That means you send me a pair of stock spindles and I exchange them for a set of drop spindles.

These only come in a 2" drop and do not come with dust shields. The factory dust shields will not longer fit. These use the factory brakes and also fit the factory arms or DHP tube arms.

These are also made for large wheels, as in an 18" wheel or larger. With these and drop arms you can lay frame on a 22" wheel.

There are several plates added to these during the drop modification process. All of these pieces are AR500 armor plate so these are literally bulletproof spindles. These are also about 90% TIG welded. some small enclosed areas where the TIG cannot fit I used MIG with a special wire.

***

Armor plate is used in making bulletproof cars.

***

Armor plate is more than twice as strong as the same thickness of mild steel and also stronger than investment cast steel and other types of high strength steel used in making factory spindles.

The best way to make a drop spindle is to use an axle stub and/or a bolt on center and build the rest. The next best is using high strength steel and plate and modifying a stock spindle. Many offroad guys use both methods and sometimes a combination of these methods to build their own spindles. Lately the drop truck scene has adopted these methods due to the extensive use of large wheels and trying to still lay frame. With the size of wheels that are popular these days, you must use a drop spindle and drop control arms to be able to run the large wheels and still lay out. Unfortunately no major manufacturer makes a drop spindle for Rangers.

Let me know what you think. I have one set in stock now and as parts come in they will be cut and modified. If you order and I dont have a set modified it will take me one week to complete the process.

Shipping on these will be about 48 bucks per spindle and they will be shipped in seperate boxes to keep weight down.
